Central Virginia Celtic Festival & Highland Games

Coming to Richmond Raceway Complex October 20-21, 2012

Richmond, VA (October 3, 2012)—We are pleased to announce the 2012 Central Virginia Celtic Festival and Highland Games on October 20th-21st at Richmond Raceway Complex. Please join us for two days of Highland Dance, Heavy Athletics, Scottish Vendors, Bagpipe, Harp and Fiddle Competitions, Irish Coffee and Beverages sponsored by Guinness, Harp and Newcastle. Performing on the main stage will be Celtic Rock Band Seven Nations, Cutthroat Shamrock, Uisce Beatha, Glasgow Kiss, The Donnybrooks, The Havers and the X Band.

This year will also feature a Wee Ones area by Scots for Tots, a Blacksmith Forge, the Great Flying Hawk Axe Show, Historical Demonstrations, Rugby Matches, Hurling Matches, Sheepdog Demonstrations, The Sterling Swordplayers, a British Car & Motorcycle Show, and other events throughout the weekend.

One Day Passes can be purchased for $15 and Two Day Passes can be purchased for $25 at the gate or in advance by calling Richmond International Raceway at (804)228-7500 or online at www.rir.com. Children 12 and Under are Free. Parking at the Event is also Free. Dogs are welcome at the festival but they must have proof of rabies vaccination and require a $5 donation at the gate.

Proceeds from this event will benefit The Cullather Brain Tumor and Quality of Life Center at Bon Secours and the Children’s Hospital Foundation through RIR Cares.
